The Electron Microscopy Unit of the Cajal Institute (IC) is dedicated to the ultrastructure analysis of biological samples using transmission electron microscopy techniques.
The researchers have at their disposal for the observation of the samples the microscope handled by their technician. The service provides advice and technical support in the field of transmission electron microscopy.

The service has a JEOL JEM 1200 EX II transmission electron microscope and a SIS megaview III CCD camera, we also have ultramicrotomes, with acquisition date 01/1/1989
