An international study in which researchers from the Cajal Institute Marta Navarrete and Alfonso Araque participate, together with Caitlin Durkee and Paulo Kofuji, from the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Minnesota, recently published by the prestigious journal Trends in Neurosciences (TINS), examines the participation of astrocytes in long-term depression (LTD), determining that it is a central form of synaptic plasticity.
